Leprechaun Revenge is the latest brainchild from Fuzz on the Lens Productions. This time they are teaming up with JFR Media to bring one of their favorite horror films back into the genre with more horrorific elements and practical FX.
Fuzz on the Lens has been riding high on their recent success of the Terrifier franchise. The movies have spawned toys, costumes, and halloween props in the terrifying image of Art the Clown! Additionally, the movie has made its way into the world of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando and Hollywood where it will be a featured maze in 2025.
Now the production company is taking a step back in time with its latest project.
Leprechaun Revenge is a sequel of sorts to the original movie. The producers, brothers Michael and Jason Leavy, chose to erase the rest of the lore from the continuation of the series. Instead, their short film is picking up where the 1993 cult classic ended.
The nine minute clip delighted fans upon its release. The tone of the short brings back the beautiful mix of gore, horror, and dark humor of the original, leaving the slapstick of the sequels behind. However, there is a balance of horror and humor in their movies. Fuzz on the Lens has come to show fans it’s ok to scream and laugh at the same time!
Listening to the Fans
One of the main reasons the Leavy brothers are so successful in the horror industry is because they listen to the community. Furthermore, they have been fans of the genre since they were children.
In Revenge, they bring back survivor Ozzie, played by Mark Holton. Unfortunately he is condemned to wearing those same overalls yet again. Linden Porco also returns to reprise his role from Leprechaun Returns (2018).

The filmmakers pay respect to the original with silent nods that fans of the series will appreciate. Such fanfare includes the slingshot used by young Alex Murphy. The gold medallion necklace from Leprechaun in the Hood also makes a cameo on Ozzie’s shelf.
Keep the Blood Flowing
The use of practical FX isn’t just displayed in this short, but are also featured in their full length films as well. The appreciation of a dying craft gives fans nostalgia for the films they grew up with. This is one of the reasons Leprechaun Revenge is so successful.
There is no doubt that Fuzz on the Lens is a threat to be reckoned with in the horror universe. The ever growing list of movies Fuzz has created makes them the perfect choice for the future of Leprechaun.

Spending the better part of the last decade specializing in horror and practical gore FX, along with having a passion for the original film, the mood of Leprechaun Revenge is the perfect blend.
Many fans have stated they have grown tired of the silly, over the top humor that the series became after the 1993 original. With the Leavy brothers at the helm, the horror elements fans have been craving would return in the continuation of the series.
Lionsgate currently owns the rights to the Leprechaun series. The company acquired it when they purchased Trimark Pictures in 2000, the studio who brought us the 1993 classic. The Leavy brothers made this short partially as a passion project, but also to show Lionsgate what they would bring to the table if they were to make the next installment in the franchise. Watch their short below, and let us know what you think! Better yet, let Lionsgate know what you think!
