Dolly Parton apologized to fans for missing another event as she continues to deal with “a few health challenges.” Parton shared a video message with fans after being inducted into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Hall of Fame. “Well, hey there, it’s Dolly, and I sure wish I could be with you in person today, but you probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall,” she said in a video shared on Instagram. “And my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while. And I’m truly sorry I can’t be…
DENVER — The Rangers were up by a goal at the tail end of the first period when Artemi Panarin coughed up the puck along the boards. Flipping it to the middle of the ice, the star Russian wing handed possession back to the Avalanche on their way to evening the score at one-all. Martin Neces’ feed ricocheted off the skate of Vladislav Gavrikov to Nathan MacKinnon at the back post for an easy tap-in. The goal came with roughly 26 seconds left in the first period. “I thought I [saw] someone in the middle, but no one [was] there,”…
The suicidal UK woman who flew to Florida to be “sexually abused and possibly murdered” by a man she met on a fetish website recorded a video with her alleged killer days earlier, describing how she wanted to die. Sonia Exelby’s haunting interaction with accused murderer Dwain Hall was captured on a cellphone recording inside an Airbnb in Reddick on Oct. 11. A disheveled Exelby, 32, appeared on camera with multiple bruises and abrasions to her face, neck and breasts, according to an arrest affidavit viewed by The Post. Sonia Exelby was found buried in a shallow grave in the…
One of the most confusing parts of anorexia treatment for patients and families is setting a goal weight. People often imagine that the treatment team selects one exact number that represents recovery and that this number is set at the start and remains fixed. In practice, we establish an initial goal weight as a first benchmark so we can see how the body responds when consistent nourishment resumes. This early number is not final at all. It is a starting point. And because getting weight restoration right is critically important to treatment outcome, it is worth understanding how initial goal…
Grammy-winning rapper Prakazrel “Pras” Michel of the Fugees was sentenced on Thursday to 14 years in prison for a case in which he was convicted of illegally funneling millions of dollars in foreign contributions to former President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. Michel, 52, declined to address the court before US District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly sentenced him. In April 2023, a federal jury convicted Michel of 10 counts, including conspiracy and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. The trial in Washington, DC, included testimony from actor Leonardo DiCaprio and former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Prakazrel (Pras) Michel arrives…

Rice (5-5) will host the No. 22-ranked Mean Green (9-1) with bowl eligibility on the line. The Owls are hoping their students are there for the game at Rice Stadium. New Zealand health officials announced Wednesday that new prescriptions for puberty blockers will no longer be issued to children identifying as transgender. Doctors will stop prescribing the gender-affirming medication — gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues — to minors starting Dec. 19, after the health ministry cited a lack of “high-quality evidence that demonstrates the benefits or risks,” Health Minister Simeon Brown said. Existing patients can still access the medication for gender dysphoria or other conditions, such as early-onset puberty, endometriosis, and prostate cancer. Doctors will stop prescribing the gender-affirming medication — gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues — to minors starting Dec. 19. paul –…

While the bar was set pretty low early on, the Nets have at least shown improvement on defense after opening the year with some of the worst stats in the league. As Ziaire Williams noted this week, “None of us are cool with being dead last in the league on defense.” It was something the players were aware of and even though wins have been elusive, they are at least not getting run over by opponents lately. After allowing 125 or more points in seven of their first 10 games, they haven’t allowed more than 119 in any of their…
