Kristen Wiig didn’t realize how much the audience was ready to paarrtyyy in 2011. The actress, 52, revealed that she didn’t know how successful the rom-com “Bridesmaids” would be until a few weeks after its theatrical release. “I remember after opening weekend, they were like, ‘Well, we tried,’” Wiig reminisced while on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast. “And we were like, ‘Sorry.’” Kristen Wiig talks “Bridesmaids.” YouTube/@Good-Hang-with-Amy-Poehler She added, “We just thought, like, that was it. And then I think just more and more people kept seeing it and then it kind of happened later.” Wiig labeled the movie a “grower.”…
President Trump signed a Proclamation(similar to an Executive Order) on September 19th, 2025, that adds a $100,000 fee for H1B visa applicants planning to enter the US from abroad. There was a lot of chaos due to the lack of proper guidance from USCIS or the Department of State. Eventually, there was some guidance given by the USCIS and CBP related to the proclamation and who it impacts. But, it did not clarify all the scenarios, and many questions are still unaddressed. Since then, many organizations have been working on filing a lawsuit against the Trump Administration related to the…
Tens of thousands of Israelis took part in a massive demonstration in Tel Aviv Saturday night, to mark two years since the Oct. 7 massacre at the hands of Hamas — and to put pressure on Tel Aviv to close the deal in Gaza and return all the hostages. “We are in decisive days for a deal,” said the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which represents most of Israel’s hostage families, in a statement. “This is the hour when all of Israel must stand together, and demand loudly — do everything possible to bring our brothers and sisters home.” Hostage…
One of the most emotionally devastating and well-made short films I’ve ever seen is Grummy, so it’s no surprise that Micheline Pitt-Norman and R.H. Norman’s segment “Home Haunt” in V/H/S/Halloween turned out to be my favorite part of the latest film in the iconic found footage franchise. Centered on a fractured family who must band together to survive the night when their renowned haunted attraction takes on a deadly life of its own, “Home Haunt” is brimming with poignant moments, endearing characters, and blood-soaked scares. With V/H/S/Halloween now streaming on Shudder, Daily Dead had the pleasure of talking with the…

Recently I posted a short item on the 10th Amendment “anti-commandeering” charade used by sanctuary states to impede federal immigration enforcement efforts. We now have further proof, if any were really needed, that this is a charade.
Germany’s Munich airport reopened Saturday morning after it was abruptly shut down for the second time in less than 24 hours over drone sightings – as fears heighten that Russia’s war in Ukraine could soon spread to other parts of Europe. Air traffic control first suspended operations late Thursday night, canceling 17 flights and disrupting travel for nearly 3,000 passengers, who were given camp beds, blankets and food to pass the night. “Our police must get the power to shoot drones down,” Markus Soeder, premier of Bavaria, wrote on X Thursday, promising to pass emergency legislation to secure German airspace.…
Why continue to treat baseball fans — or try to attract new ones — with images of rank public immodesty rather than with genuinely skillful baseball?
People worry about losing their memory as they get older, or worse, developing a dementing illness such as Alzheimer’s Disease. It’s hard not to get caught up in a cycle of fear as you read the headlines everywhere proclaiming that this form of dementia is spreading uncontrollably like a wildfire through the aging population. Even though there are more nuances to the data on dementia’s prevalence, this doesn’t minimize the desire that people have to keep their brains healthy and sharp. Puzzles abound on hundreds of websites and apps, all claiming to provide an antidote to the caving in of…
LONDON — Police on Saturday were questioning six people arrested on suspicion of terror offenses after an attack on a synagogue in northwest England that left two men dead and Britain’s Jewish community shocked and grieving.
