Thomas Jane’s brought comic book characters to life on the big screen, but of late he’s been involved with the creative team on the historical horror comic book The Lycan from Comixology Originals. The continuing tale’s sixth issue is due in January.
It features a story created by Jane (The Punisher) and film producer David James Kelly (Robin Hood) and scripted by horror writer Mike Carey (Lucifer). Art’s by Diego Yapur (Escape from Skull Island).
The Lycan No. 6 official synopsis sums the storyline up this way:
Year of Our Lord 1777: A hardened band of international big game hunters returning from Africa are shipwrecked off a small British island.
In exchange for new supplies and the repairing of their good ship The Calydonian, Lord Ludgate engages the men for a task they are particularly well suited for: find the Berserking Beasts that have been eating his subjects, including a group of young Benedictine Nuns, and destroy them.
The Beasts have cornered what’s left of Coffin’s crew in the bowels of the castle; where they must make their stand. At the last minute, the crew is aided by an unlikely ally…
Wicked Horror’s excited to offer a few preview pages for the issue coming later this month, giving readers a glimpse of the realistic style and the flow of the storytelling.

The Lycan No. 6 is up for pre-order and will deliver on Dec. 23, 2025.
