As spooky season rolls on, we’re continuing to explore books that are popular on Libby, which thrill and chill. Last week, we highlighted the most popular horror books on the library app, and this week, we’ve got thrillers.
They range from the suburban-set to following LA island-bound detectives. They are also largely mega bestsellers, so if you’d like a little more diversity, we have a few suggestions.

There’s romance thriller The Matchmaker by Aisha Saeed, the action-packed A Thousand Natural Shocks by Omar Hussain, the musical The Dark Maestro by Brendan Slocumb, Southern noir King of Ashes by S.A. Cosby, another romantic thriller (this time a queer YA one) The Corruption of Hollis Brown by K. Ancrum, and Indigenous YA thriller Sisters in the Wind by Angeline Boulley
