Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently exposed Vince McMahon and Triple H. The two family members allegedly had real-life heat with each other.
McMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022 amid a hush money probe. He then returned later for WWE’s merger under TKO. However, another lawsuit by former employee Janel Grant alleging sexual misconduct forced him to distance himself from the company.
Thanks for the submission!
During a recent episode of The Coach and Bro show, Russo recalled that when McMahon tried to return to the company, Nick Khan, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon voted against. He noted that it was all a setup.
“Well, now we’re finding out that was all part of the plan! That Stephanie and Triple H were supposed to come back for 90 days, and Vince was gonna be welcomed back with open arms. The only thing that changed was, Vince came back in 60 days. So what that means is they purposely voted against him to make it look good for the shareholders, knowing damn well that Vince held the trump card to go back in anyway. So there was no heat!”
The veteran writer accused the family of lying to shareholders to make themselves appear favorable. He felt this was all a work because they knew the former boss would eventually return anyway.
“The way this looks with the misguidance, lying, shenanigans, and games they’re playing with the shareholders. That was all a work. Made them look like heroes to the shareholders.” (H/T TJR Wrestling)
Vince McMahon was involved with WWE creative post-retirement
Despite his retirement from the company, Vince McMahon still influenced most of the major creative decisions in the WWE.
A recent report by Brandon Thurston on POST Wrestling confirmed that McMahon was part of the creative discussion for WrestleMania 39. The report detailed a series of messages exchanged between the former boss and executive producer Bruce Prichard.
This goes against WWE President Nick Khan’s statement back then that Vince McMahon was not involved with the creative.
