The Forge centers on mining ores to create weapons and armor, making pickaxe selection a crucial part of the gameplay. Each pickaxe has a Mining Power that determines its ability to break tougher rocks or boulders. It also has a Luck Boost, which allows you to gather rare ores more easily. Both these stats highlight a pickaxe’s overall usefulness and its place in the meta list.
As you progress in the game, you’ll need the top pickaxes to mine the rarest ores like Uranium, Fireite, and Demonite. This tier list ranks all of them to help you understand which pickaxes stand out from the rest.
Ranking all pickaxes in Roblox The Forge
Every pickaxe in The Forge has been assigned one of the following tiers: S, A, B, or C. The S tier consists of the best pickaxes, whereas the C tier features the underwhelming ones, which are only useful for new players.
S Tier
The most powerful pickaxes belong in this tier. Given that they are the best, you’ll have to find them in certain locations, sometimes hidden ones, and spend a lot of money to purchase them.
A Tier
The A-Tier pickaxes are great for the middle phase of your gameplay. They possess decent Mining Power and Luck stats and are purchasable from Miner Fred’s shop, thereby requiring no legwork.
B Tier
These pickaxes offer nothing noteworthy in the game, so consider replacing them with better ones as soon as you reach the Forgotten Kingdom.
C Tier
The most underwhelming pickaxes. These are only useful during the starter phase of the gameplay, but as you progress, it becomes imperative to get pickaxes with higher Mining Power to collect ores like silver and platinum.

The Forge pickaxe progression guide
At the beginning, you’re given the Stone Pickaxe to mine ores and purchase the Iron Pickaxe in The Forge. Then, you’re given the freedom to buy any pickaxe of your choice. Consider saving 5000 coins to purchase the Platinum Pickaxe from Miner Fred’s shop, or if you’re feeling adventurous, head over to the Inner Cave to find and buy the Stonewake’s Pickaxe.
Compared to the Platinum, the Stonewake’s Pickaxe has a higher Mining Power and Rune Slots. However, it has a lower Luck and a lesser Mine Speed.
The pickaxes available in Stonewake’s Cross are inferior to those in Forgotten Kingdom. So, once you reach the second area, buy the Cobalt Pickaxe. Use this axe to mine ores, forge weapons and armor, and sell them to get more income.
After the Cobalt Pickaxe, aim to get the Mythril Pickaxe, which is capable of breaking the Basalt nodes that block access to the Volcanic Depths. After entering this location, mine ores from the volcanic rocks and boulders. Collect at least 500,000 coins to be able to purchase the Demonic Pickaxe, which is hidden behind the Demonic Door.
