At long last, Rob Kardashian has finally made his on-camera return to reality television.
Rob, the only biological son of Kris Jenner, stepped away from the limelight in 2016 after years of starring in the family’s E! series, Keeping Up with The Kardashians. He had also previously appeared in Khloé Kardashian and her ex-husband Lamar Odom’s spinoff, Khloé & Lamar, and his and Blac Chyna’s miniseries, Rob & Chyna. While he’s made several appearances via phone call in their Hulu revival, The Kardashians, he has never shown his face in front of cameras … until now.
In the Season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, Kris invites the entire family to her iconic Hidden Hills home for one last celebration before it’s officially sold.
“All my kids are here tonight,” Kris tells the cameras. “My kids, my children, my grandchildren, and even Rob, which means the world to me.”
While Rob is not mic’d up or speaking in confessionals, he is seen talking to his mom from the couch and spending quality family time with his sisters, daughter, nieces, and nephews.
“Yes, guys. Rob is here,” Khloé says in her confessional. “I know everyone is hoping that Rob comes back to the show, and trust me, we are too.”
“Rob is doing well. He’s alive,” Khloé continues. “The conspiracies are running wild. One of the main ones is that he lives with me, he’s in our shadows and we don’t want to have him around us. He’s not some miserable person that lives under a bridge. He’s not a Gruffalo. We’re totally fine.”
Khloé isn’t the only member of the family who wants to film with her brother again.
Kourtney Kardashian says, “Rob and I, we’re very similar in a lot of ways. He’s super sweet. [He’s] the funniest person I know. I love having him around,” while Kim Kardashian adds, “I do miss him being on the show because he’s just so funny. It would be great if he would regularly be back on. That’s the goal.”
It sounds like that goal may very well happen in the future. In a flashback scene, Rob is heard telling Khloé and Scott Disick that he’s “down” to return to the show. Fingers crossed!
New episodes of The Kardashians air every Thursday on Hulu.
