From battles between bitter rivals to a marquee Super Bowl rematch, and a few notable returns for good measure, Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season is shaping up to deliver in a big way.
In the nine-game, 1 p.m. ET slate, the Steelers host the Seahawks in a revenge game for ex-Seattle star wide receiver DK Metcalf. The six-year pro departed Seattle via trade in March.
Bears-Lions and Browns-Ravens will also boast added motivation besides bragging rights for the conference foes. First-year Bears head coach Ben Johnson, the Lions offensive coordinator for the past three seasons, will lead his troops into a NFC North battle in Detroit with something to prove.
Over in the AFC North, a rare first is in line for 18-year veteran and Cleveland quarterback Joe Flacco, who will return to his old stomping grounds in Baltimore for the first time to face the club he guided to a Super Bowl XLVII victory during his 11 seasons in town.
