The White House, in a rare move, has released a readout of a three-way call involving President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the prime minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The statement notes Netanyahu expressed “deep regret” for Israel’s Sept. 9 strike targeting Hamas leaders in Doha.

“He further expressed regret that, in targeting Hamas leadership during hostage negotiations, Israel violated Qatari sovereignty and affirmed that Israel will not conduct such an attack again in the future,” the statement goes on.
