President Trump said Monday the U.S. had carried out another military strike targeting what he said were “confirmed narcoterrorists from Venezuela” in international waters. He asserted the boat was transporting illegal drugs “headed to the U.S.” The strike killed three individuals, Trump said, and no U.S. forces were harmed.
With the government funding deadline just more than two weeks away, House Republicans are considering a continuing resolution (CR) that would keep the lights on through Nov. 20, GOP sources told The Hill.
Text of the continuing resolution (CR) has yet to be released, though Republicans have said it will largely be “clean.”
In the Senate, Trump’s pick for the Fed, Stephen Miran, could get confirmed, a day ahead of the Fed board’s next meeting.
Much of the nation’s focus over the weekend was on Kirk. A public vigil on Sunday evening drew dignitaries and fans alike. NFL stadiums paid tribute.
Trump pledged to investigate left-leaning groups in connection with Kirk’s fatal shooting on Wednesday.
Vice President Vance took the mic Monday as “The Charlie Kirk Show” returned to the air this week. The veep announced Sunday night he would guest host.
