Eiza Gonzalez on Grigor Dimitrov’s discipline after Wimbledon injury
Grigor Dimitrov played only 26 singles matches in 2025, as he struggled with injuries throughout the season. During the first round of the 2025 Australian Open, he suffered a hip injury, followed by another forced retirement in Dubai.
The World No. 44 retired during the first round of the French Open due to a thigh injury. He showed a sign of improvement on his return to action at Wimbledon, but injured his pectoral muscle while leading against the eventual winner Jannik Sinner 6-3, 7-5, 2-2 in the fourth round.
While recovering from his injury, Grigor Dimitrov’s girlfriend Eiza Gonzalez shared an update, praising the player’s discipline. She shared a video of Dimitrov running just two days after a devastating injury on Instagram and captioned it, writing:
“2 days post injury. Nothing stops him. Hardest worker I know. The most disciplined @grigordimitrov.”
Meanwhile, injuries continue to haunt the nine-time ATP singles winner when he next returned to court at the Paris Masters in October. Grigor Dimitrov suffered a shoulder injury before his second-round clash against Daniil Medvedev in Paris, ending his 2025 season early.
