Deonna Purrazzo is one of the top stars in AEW. She recently celebrated a personal milestone.
Deonna Purrazzo first made a name for herself in TNA Wrestling. After her time in TNA ended, she moved on to the WWE, where she wrestled in the NXT brand for a couple of years. After leaving WWE, she returned to TNA Wrestling again where she wrestled for a couple of years. Deonna made her AEW debut in 2022 in a one-off match where she challenged Mercedes Martinez for the ROH Women’s World Championship. She returned to the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2024 and began feuding with Toni Storm over the AEW Women’s World Championship. Although Purrazzo was unable to win the title, she has become a regular feature on Dynamite and Collision and has even competed for ROH. Her last match for the Jacksonville-based promotion took place in February this year.
Outside the ring, Deonna married fellow professional wrestler Steve Maclin in 2022. Now, the AEW star has taken to Instagram to share that she is celebrating her anniversary with her husband today.

Tony Khan provided an update on Deonna Purrazzo’s status
Deonna Purrazzo hasn’t competed in AEW for the past several months. Meanwhile, she has been active on the independent scene and has also made appearances on ROH TV.
During the media call for ROH Death Before Dishonor, Tony Khan was asked about The Virtuosa’s status in the company. The AEW boss spoke highly of the former WWE star, stating that Purrazzo has shown a positive attitude by wanting to take on more opportunities in ROH and on the Indies.
“Deonna has been really positive of [sic] AEW, and I want to give Deonna a good opportunity. I’m still very interested in Deonna wrestling, and she has been open that she wants to get out there and wrestle more on the independents and take advantage of the opportunities in ROH when they come. Based on the positive sentiment she’s been putting out there, and her wanting to do the work, and the body of work she’s put up in her career, and what I know she’s capable of at her best, absolutely, I want to give Deonna opportunities.” [H/T: Fightful]
It will be interesting to see when Deonna Purrazzo will finally receive her push as a top star.
