Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) said Sunday that Democrats “need to own” the current government shutdown amid a fight over Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funding. “Well, I mean, for me, fundamentally, I’m deeply, deeply distressing to know that 42 millions Americans are going to lose their SNAP benefits,” Fetterman told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.” “And, now, that’s one of the big reasons why I refused to shutting our government down. And, again, I feel like the Democrats really need to own the shutdown. I mean, we’re shutting it down. I know why — they claim —…

The president told reporters last week the project would have a price tag of $300 million, higher than the original $200 million estimate from the White House in the summer. Trump has said…
Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said that President Trump seeking another term in the White House is “very unlikely, but don’t ever close the book on” the president. “Senator, is it constitutional for President Trump to run for a third term? He’s teasing that,” a reporter asked Tuberville in a clip posted to the social platform X Tuesday. “You know, if you read the Constitution, it says it’s not, but if he says he has some, some different circumstances that might be able to go around the Constitution, but that’s up to him. We got a long way to go before…

A mayor from the Canadian province of Ontario defended an advertisement paid for by his province that includes remarks from former President Reagan to criticize President Trump’s tariffs. He’s got a reaction.” “It’s got a lot of coverage. And the words…
