Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday went after Democrats over proposed plans to launch an online “tracker” of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity. “Shutdown Democrats are already refusing to pay our law enforcement agents. Now, @RepRobertGarcia and @SenBlumenthal are trying to put ICE agents at risk just for doing their jobs,” Bondi said in a post on the social platform X, referring to Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.). “@TheJusticeDept has ZERO tolerance for violence against law enforcement — we will prosecute any person who physically assaults our agents,” she added. Bondi’s post also featured a…
Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.) said on Sunday that “everything is on” Republicans as the government shutdown drags on. “On the one hand, Democrats want credit for shutting the government down in order to get health insurance subsidies that you talk about that are obviously important and consequential, but on the other hand, they say it’s Republicans who have shut the government down,” NewsNation’s Chris Stirewalt said to DelBene on “The Hill Sunday.” “So, is this a credit for Democrats or blame for Republicans? Sort out the difference between those two messages,” he added. “You know, Republicans have shut the government…
Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) said Sunday that the scandal involving Virginia Democratic attorney general nominee Jay Jones his violent text messages will not cause trouble for former Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) in her race for governor as the two are both on the ballot next month. “Senator, very quickly, do you worry that this entire controversy could hurt the Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger and her chances of winning?” NBC News’s Kristen Welker asked on “Meet the Press.” “Kristen, I don’t. For your viewers who aren’t Virginians, we have a race two weeks from Tuesday, governor, a race for lieutenant…
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview that aired Sunday that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is “afraid that [the] United States will deliver us Tomahawks.” “I knew about the Tomahawks, it’s very sensitive for Russians,” Zelensky told NBC News’s Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press.” “They’re afraid that [the] United States can deliver Ukraine — I think that Putin [is] afraid that [the] United States will deliver us Tomahawks.” During a White House meeting with Zelensky on Friday, President Trump said it was not “easy” for the U.S. hand over long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. “It’s…
The Trump administration revoked six visas over comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to the State Department. “The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans,” the State Department said Tuesday in a thread on the social platform X. “The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk. Here are just a few examples of aliens who are no longer welcome in the U.S,” the department added. According to the department’s thread, an Argentinian national, a South African national, a Mexican national, a Brazilian…
The Young Republican National Federation called for immediate resignations following a Politico report on a leaked group chat that featured racist, antisemitic and violent discussions. “We are appalled by the vile and inexcusable language revealed in the Politico article published today. We must hold ourselves to the highest standards of…
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and former President Clinton gave President Trump credit for the ceasefire in Gaza and the return of Israeli hostages by Hamas. “Today is a wonderful day. All 20 living Israeli hostages were returned Monday, with…
Former Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Austin Beutner has launched a challenge against the city’s current mayor, Karen Bass. “I’m running for LA Mayor. After 17 years in public life, I’ve learned how to get things done and how special LA is. But our city is adrift, and it’s time for us to work together to get LA back on track,” Beutner, running as a Democrat, said in a post on the social platform X Monday morning. Beutner’s campaign follows recent turmoil in Los Angeles over President Trump deploying the National Guard to the city, immigration policy and deadly…
FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Monday made an appearance on the “Peace 2025” stage in Egypt. “We have Gianni,” President Trump said during the Middle East peace ceremony in the coastal resort area of Sharm el-Sheikh. “We’re going to the World Cup, I can tell you that.” The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams and 104 games across 16 North American cities, including Los Angeles, Seattle, Mexico City, Toronto and Atlanta.
