A Friday episode of “South Park” mocked Attorney General Pam Bondi by depicting her with feces on her face to paint the concept that she’s a “brown-noser.” In the Halloween episode of the satirical animated show, Bondi was directed to investigate a threat to President Trump’s “partner,” Satan, who is depicted as pregnant in the show. “We won’t let any harm come to the baby of the greatest president that ever lived. You are without equal, sir,” Bondi said, before someone tells her about a brown substance on her nose. In the fictional clip, Bondi wipes her nose and asks…
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is casting much of the blame for rising health premiums on her own party, arguing Republicans should have reformed the Affordable Care Act, and its expiring tax credits, sooner. Expiring subsidies in the Obama-era bill have been at the forefront of Democrats’ challenge to the House-passed continuing resolution that would reopen the government after funding lapsed more than a month ago. In an interview Friday with comedian and host Bill Maher, Greene doubled down on her criticism of the GOP caucus and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) for failing to give details on an alleged…
Far-right activist Laura Loomer on Friday slammed the Heritage Foundation after its president, Kevin Roberts, spoke out in support of Tucker Carlson’s interview with white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Loomer called out Roberts as a “hypocrite” after his recent interview with host Dana Loesch, where he indirectly condemned comments made by Carlson and Fuentes, and following a “Wow this is outrageous. The head of Heritage is asked if calling Christian Zionists is ‘venomous’. He said yes,” Loomer wrote in one post on social platform X, replying to an interview clip. “When @DLoesch said, ‘Tucker said that,’ @KevinRobertsTX froze like a deer…
President Trump late Thursday once again slammed ObamaCare, demanding that Democrats “do something” ahead of an imminent spike in Affordable Care Act (ACA) premiums amid the federal funding impasse. “As I have said for years, OBAMACARE IS A DISASTER! Rates are going through the roof for really bad healthcare!!! Do something Democrats!!!” the president wrote in a Truth Social post. His comment comes as the government shutdown nears the one-month mark. Senate Democrats have refused to pass a stopgap bill unless their Republican counterparts agree to extend ACA subsidies that will expire at the end of the year. Open enrollment…
A third suspect accused of killing Eric Tarpinian-Jachym was arrested on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. Naqwan Antonio Lucas was apprehended by Metropolitan Police, who believe he was involved in Tarpinian-Jachym’s death and the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Zoey Kelley. Tarpinian-Jachym was 21 years old when he died in July. He was a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst living in the nation’s capital to intern for Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kan.). “Eric died alone. No mother, no father, no sister. Why? Because three teenagers, two, 17, one, 18, all accustomed to getting away with criminal behavior because they lived in…
Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) on Tuesday urged Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to stop sharing criticism about GOP lawmakers’ approach to solving the lapse in Affordable Care Act subsidies and present her own plan. “If this is something she‘s passionate about, put pen to paper, write a bill, present an option,” Moreno said during an appearance on CNN’s “The Source.” “Don‘t just criticize what other people are doing,” he added. Moreno said ACA credits, which are set to expire at the end of the year, have been an “abject failure at keeping costs affordable” and credited Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.)…
A majority of Americans say they have a negative opinion of President Trump sharing AI-generated videos mocking protesters and Democratic leaders related to the government shutdown, according to a new poll. A YouGov survey found 70 percent of American respondents said they strongly or somewhat disapprove of Trump’s artificially generated video where he’s in a fighter jet dropping brown sludge on demonstrators at last weekend’s “No Kings” protest in New York City. Twenty percent of respondents said they strongly or somewhat approve of the Truth Social post while 10 percent said they were not sure how to feel about it.…
Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro on Saturday slammed President Trump’s effort to receive a $230 million payment from the Department of Justice (DOJ) as compensation for the various federal probes into his conduct. “I think that it’s rife with conflicts of interest,” Shapiro told NewsNation’s Batya Ungar-Sargon. “I cannot see a world in which that does not end with either a massive number of lawsuits or even an impeachment in the House. That is just a bad strategy,” he added. Trump has alleged that past DOJ investigations into his conduct were “politically motivated” and damaged his reputation. Deputy Attorney General Todd…
As federal workers remain in limbo amid the government shutdown, President Trump is traveling to Asia in an effort to unpack key foreign policy topics at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summits. Trump is also set to meet with high-ranking counterparts during stops in Malaysia, Japan and South Korea. Among the planned meetings include a confab with Chinese President Xi Jinping. South Korea is still awaiting a firm trade agreement with the White House to help solidify taxes on imports and exports. Trade discussions are expected to trickle down to Americans as they battle…
President Trump on Saturday slapped Canada with a 10 percent tariff on top of its current rate after an advertisement lobbying against tariffs aired during the World Series. The Canadian ad, which has angered the president, features different parts of speech former President Ronald Reagan gave in 1987 about “free and fair trade” when announcing his decision to impose tariffs on Japan. Critics have said the pulled sections of Reagan’s remarks are reordered in the ad, which was organized by the Ontario government and aired during the first game of the World Series Friday night between the Toronto Blue Jays and…
