Americans’ support for Israel has reversed nearly two years after the war in Gaza began, with more people now backing Palestinians than the Jewish state, according to a new poll. The major shift saw 35% of more than 1,300 registered voters say they side with Palestinians, just above the 34% who said they support Israel, according to the latest New York Times and Siena University poll. It marks the first time more respondents said they supported Palestinians over Israelis since the New York Times began polling voters about their sympathies in 1998. Protesters call for an end to the war…
Google is willing to cough up more advertising data to publishers to address concerns about its illegal monopoly over digital advertising technology, a top executive at the search giant said Tuesday. Glenn Berntson, an engineering director for Google Ad Manager, acknowledged the potential remedy during the second week of a high-stakes antitrust trial in Virginia federal court. He was called as a witness by Google’s defense lawyers. Providing “publishers with these detailed insights, I think, is a good idea,” Berntson said during cross-examination by the Justice Department’s attorneys, according to Bloomberg. “The specifics is something we’d have to explore.” Google…

Relationships are hard work; it’s a well-known, well-founded cliché. Part of that work, many of us have learned, goes into communication—trying to make clear to your partner what you want, and to understand what they want, despite all the noise and mistaken assumptions inherent in human connection. But sometimes, communication between partners fails to achieve clarity and directness; sometimes it leans into passive-aggressive criticisms instead. We’ve all been there, and we have likely felt uncomfortable when someone lands a jab against their partner in our presence. The partner ends up feeling embarrassed and may struggle to reply, since they usually…
A teen girl and two female cousins were tortured to death in Argentina and the gruesome killings were broadcast live on social media, authorities have said. The dismembered remains of Lara Morena Gutierrez, 15; Brenda del Castillo, 20; and Morena Verdi, 20; were found dumped in a well behind a house after the trio were allegedly lured into a van with the promise of attending a party, the Buenos Aires Herald reported. Gutierrez had five fingers on her left hand and one ear amputated before her throat was cut, Argentinian outlet La Nacion reported, citing law enforcement sources. Del Castillo was stabbed…
A homeless maniac charged with shoving an off-duty NYPD cop onto Manhattan subway tracks was once a standout Big Apple high school hoopster — until his life went off the rails. Aaron Walker, Jr., 28, was on his way to a promising basketball career at Cardozo High School and a freshman start at Manhattan College until he disappeared into the streets — and now has 18 busts on his rap sheet and an attempted murder charges in the cop-shoving incident, The Post has learned. A hard-up Detroit man who was surprised with $100,000 for being nice to an influencer was later kidnapped, beaten and left tied up inside a burning car by some of his own relatives trying to steal his windfall, according to cops. Curtis Dixon had been planning to pawn his wedding ring to pay bills last month when he unknowingly ran into Zach Dereniowski, a TikTokker with 24 million viewers who was pretending to be blind. Dereniowski surprised him with $1,000 for helping him — then arranged a GoFundMe that raised $100,000 and helped buy Dixon a new car. Curtis Dixon…
Avalon Fast brought her second feature to Fantastic Fest, and I was excited to see it. I had previously enjoyed her earlier work, Honeycomb, and was curious to see what her next film would offer. Like Honeycomb, Camp is a film that lives squarely in the feminine space. It is a beautiful, hazy coming of age film about embracing your power and learning to forgive yourself. Emily (Zola Grimmer) is struggling. She is still dealing with the recent death of her best friend, who overdosed on a drug supply that Emily had provided. This guilt lies on top of another…
