Xavier Gipson is headed down I-95. After being cut by the Jets and the Giants in the span of 10 days, Gipson is now a member of the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles after they claimed him off waivers, the team announced on Monday. Gipson is now on his third team this season after his time with the Jets ended after a costly miscue in their Week 1 loss to the Steelers, and then he spent nine days as a Giant without playing in a game for them. The Eagles made the move a day after they had had issues…
The Issue: New York Democratic Chairman Jay Jacobs opposing mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani. New York Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs is a man among men. He is not caving to those big smiling fools, Gov. Hochul and Zohran Mamdani (“Chairman taking a stand for moderates,” Sept. 20). He is not going along to get along. Jacobs knows pro-criminal candidates will only worsen crime and safety in New York City. Yes — it can get worse. New York City has become a haven for doing whatever you want, to whomever you want, whenever you want without consequences. Michael Castagna Brooklyn If…
In July 1995, TIME Magazine published a cover story entitled “Cyber Porn,” flashing the tragic face of a young boy engulfed in the blue light of a computer screen before mortified readers. The widespread adoption of the internet had made access to adult content all too easy, and moral panic ensued. Three decades later, the crusade against porn hasn’t really yielded the intended results. Quite the opposite, in fact: In 2022, the adult entertainment industry was estimated to be worth $58.4 billion. That number is projected to reach $96.2 billion by 2032. In the age of AI, VR/AR and other…
The Obamas soaked up the sun on Steven Spielberg’s superyacht in the Italian Riviera — as hundreds of thousands of mourners paid tribute to the life and legacy of slain Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk. The former first couple — who have been rarely photographed together in recent months as marriage trouble rumors swirl — were spied boarding the $250 million, 357-foot luxury vessel, dubbed “Seven Seas,” a day apart. The legendary director greeted the former first lady with open arms as she boarded his $250 million superyacht. COBRA TEAM / BACKGRID Photos show former first lady Michelle Obama,…
The Long Walk doesn’t dress up Stephen King’s story to be anything that it isn’t. Francis Lawrence’s adaptation stays true to the lean, often cruel spirit of the book, in which young men walk for their lives and a fat cash prize. All the complexity is behind the simplicity — that’s the spirit of The Long Walk. Composer Jeremiah Fraites went for minimalism as well, mostly through piano and strings. The Long Walk is the first feature-length film Fraites has scored in his career, which includes The Lumineers and two solo albums. Only a month from now, his next score…
Mayor Eric Adams mysteriously took the weekend off — and even skipped the African American Day Parade in Harlem — as resurrected rumors swirled about him dropping his long-shot re-election bid. Adams had no public events Saturday and Sunday — as mayor or mayoral hopeful — while his three opponents hopscotched the Big Apple with six weeks to go before November’s election. The flailing, fourth-place-polling incumbent resurfaced Monday for blitz of morning show appearances, where he tried to downplay his conspicuous absence and angrily dodged questions about him potentially dropping his re-election bid. “Well, you know, unlike the other candidates…
Three Palestinians accused of “collaborating” with Israel were executed by masked Hamas terrorists in front of a cheering crowd in Gaza on Sunday. Ghastly footage of the killings, originally posted on a Hamas-affiliated Telegram group, shows the three doomed blindfolded men kneeling on the ground in front of a trio of Hamas gunmen holding automatic weapons as a fourth loudly reads in Arabic from a piece of paper. Faux Canada! American travelers hoping for more favorable treatment overseas are choosing to hide behind the Canadian flag — arousing ire north of the border. Their behavior is part of a popular trend known as flag-jacking — which sees tourists abroad displaying the flag of another country on their bag or clothing, as a way to disguise where they’re really from. American travelers hoping to stay under the radar are sewing Canadian flags on their bags or clothing — and Canadians aren’t happy. Miyuki Satake – stock.adobe.com While not a new phenomenon, it’s become popular once more as anti-American sentiment is said…
Giants head coach Brian Daboll was non-committal Monday about whether Russell Wilson will remain the team’s starting quarterback. “We’re evaluating everything,” Daboll told reporters as he navigated multiple queries about his quarterback situation, a day after Wilson struggled in a loss to the Chiefs. Giants fans booed Wilson during the loss and called for rookie Jaxson Dart, who did see the field for a few plays. Russell Wilson (3) looks to throw during the Giants’ loss to the Chiefs on Sept. 22, 2025. Charles Wenzelberg/New York Post Giants rookie Jaxson Dart on the sideline during the loss to the Chiefs…
We’ve probably all seen TV shows or movies such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (starring Jack Nicholson), where an individual with a mental illness is placed in a straitjacket in a psychiatric hospital due to being aggressive or out of control. These images are often disturbing and hard to forget. Further, they perpetuate the myth that this is how people with mental illness are treated in psychiatric facilities when they become violent or unpredictable. Having worked in a psychiatric hospital for well over two decades, I’d like to separate the myths from the truth about how aggressive behavior…
