As fall begins, the days become shorter, and the nights longer, especially at higher latitudes. Fall changes our routines. People tend to return home earlier, resulting in fewer people on the streets. In many cities, evening traffic starts earlier, and the streets become empty at night. The start of school and universities in the fall causes much of the young population, who typically spend time outdoors, to leave the streets and recreational areas. Instead, spending time at home, attending parties with friends and family, and visiting pubs and coffee shops have become popular activities. However, this shift from summer to…
He’s still in the game! The Mets may have crapped out this year, but Steve Cohen’s $8 billion casino plan won a vote of confidence Tuesday. A state local siting board voted 6-0 to allow the proposal, from the Mets’ billionaire owner and Hard Rock, to move forward for further consideration. “While the Mets didn’t make the playoffs, I consider this a home run,” said Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, who served on the casino community advisory committee. The proposal — to build a casino dubbed “Metropolitan Park” near Citi Field — now will be reviewed by the state gaming…

That’s the system they built, so it must fit into the right-left paradigm, because that binary is the foundation of all of their programming.” Late-night comedian Jon Stewart blasted right- and left-leaning news hosts in the…
The Cincinnati Bengals opened their Monday night road matchup against the Denver Broncos with a field goal. And that is where the positives end.Following the opening-drive score by Cincinnati, the Broncos out-scored the Bengals 28-0 the rest of the game, holding Cincinnati to just 178 yards of total offense. Ja’Marr Chase has an idea why that happened.”Urgency is there, man, it’s just you gotta want it. At the end of the day, we gotta want it. Today, it didn’t look like we wanted it,” the star wide receiver said about the Bengals after the Week 4 loss, according to ESPN.Chase,…
