Former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was arrested Saturday on assault and public intoxication charges after he was stabbed in the chest during a brawl with a food delivery driver in Indianapolis early Saturday, according to reports and authorities. Sanchez was charged with battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication, in connection with the brawl near Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery in downtown Indianapolis, cops said. The unidentified delivery driver who allegedly stabbed Sanchez claimed he was acting in self-defense and that Sanchez was the aggressor, FOX59/CBS4 reported, citing police sources. President Trump announced Saturday that Israel has agreed to an “initial withdrawal line” in Gaza, adding a cease-fire and hostage exchange would begin once Hamas confirms the deal. “After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas,” Trump posted on Truth Social, adding that the plan would mark “the end of this 3,000-year catastrophe.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier on Saturday that he ordered his negotiators, led by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, to travel to Egypt to finalize the technical details of the hostage release. Israel has…
CANADA They were crying in their beer. A funeral was held for a town’s only beer store on the day it closed its doors after 75 years in business. The town of Bala, in Ontario, hosted the bittersweet ceremony for the shop — aptly named The Beer Store — in its parking lot, where gatherers gave it “one final cheers for all the beers.” The Beer Store in Bala, Ontario, was given a proper sendoff. CBC News MEXICO The anti-narco culture reality show “México Canta” will host its final episode live on Sunday night at Esperanza Iris City Theater in Mexico…
There’s an old Latin phrase that has stayed with me lately: Succisa virescit. The translation roughly means, “When cut down, we grow back stronger.” Originally the sixth-century motto of the Benedictine Abbey of Monte Cassino, it reflects a simple but profound truth about the human condition—growth often begins in the aftermath of loss. What was once a call to spiritual and physical resilience has become, for me, a powerful metaphor for cognition itself, particularly in an age when artificial intelligence and large language models promise the curious dynamic of fluency without failure. And today, it’s the motto of one of…
Kristen Wiig didn’t realize how much the audience was ready to paarrtyyy in 2011. The actress, 52, revealed that she didn’t know how successful the rom-com “Bridesmaids” would be until a few weeks after its theatrical release. “I remember after opening weekend, they were like, ‘Well, we tried,’” Wiig reminisced while on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast. “And we were like, ‘Sorry.’” Kristen Wiig talks “Bridesmaids.” YouTube/@Good-Hang-with-Amy-Poehler She added, “We just thought, like, that was it. And then I think just more and more people kept seeing it and then it kind of happened later.” Wiig labeled the movie a “grower.”…
President Trump signed a Proclamation(similar to an Executive Order) on September 19th, 2025, that adds a $100,000 fee for H1B visa applicants planning to enter the US from abroad. There was a lot of chaos due to the lack of proper guidance from USCIS or the Department of State. Eventually, there was some guidance given by the USCIS and CBP related to the proclamation and who it impacts. But, it did not clarify all the scenarios, and many questions are still unaddressed. Since then, many organizations have been working on filing a lawsuit against the Trump Administration related to the…
Tens of thousands of Israelis took part in a massive demonstration in Tel Aviv Saturday night, to mark two years since the Oct. 7 massacre at the hands of Hamas — and to put pressure on Tel Aviv to close the deal in Gaza and return all the hostages. “We are in decisive days for a deal,” said the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which represents most of Israel’s hostage families, in a statement. “This is the hour when all of Israel must stand together, and demand loudly — do everything possible to bring our brothers and sisters home.” Hostage…
One of the most emotionally devastating and well-made short films I’ve ever seen is Grummy, so it’s no surprise that Micheline Pitt-Norman and R.H. Norman’s segment “Home Haunt” in V/H/S/Halloween turned out to be my favorite part of the latest film in the iconic found footage franchise. Centered on a fractured family who must band together to survive the night when their renowned haunted attraction takes on a deadly life of its own, “Home Haunt” is brimming with poignant moments, endearing characters, and blood-soaked scares. With V/H/S/Halloween now streaming on Shudder, Daily Dead had the pleasure of talking with the…

Recently I posted a short item on the 10th Amendment “anti-commandeering” charade used by sanctuary states to impede federal immigration enforcement efforts. We now have further proof, if any were really needed, that this is a charade.
