Four Vacancies has announced the launch of its kickstarter campaign, and is calling upon true horror fans for their support!
Director Karl Huber’s latest project is “A gore filled horror/comedy feature film that takes place in four different rooms at the same motel on the same night.”
The crowdfunding page advises the typical horror warnings; “graphic violence and nudity, sexual content and drug use.” We’ve all heard it before, right? However, from there it takes a hard left turn and really prepares us.
It continues, this movie also includes; “Meth zombies, demonic succubus, f**k boy vampires, and suggestive themes.” Now THESE are the sorts of things we live for at iHorror!
The Premise of Four Vacancies
Four Vacancies tells four different stories, all on the same night, all at the same place.
“Welcome to the Midnight Inn! A once roadside themed motel, is now the setting of a gruesome night involving a pizza delivery driver trying to survive a beautiful man eating succubus. A former brand ambassador and social media influencer, live streaming his stays in the motel’s most haunted room. An emotionally disturbed graphic novelist trying to bring closure to his dead wife. And two naaive girls who are convinced that they are newly sired vampires, as they try to score their first kill.”
The kickstarter page includes some beautiful story boards illustrating the four storylines that collide in the anthology. Furthermore, the page has also confirmed Rob Mello (Happy Death Day, Fear the Walking Dead) has joined the project!

About the Creature Creator
Four Vacancies is the brainchild of Karl Huber. Huber is a self taught special effects makeup artist as well as filmmaker at “Crimson Hands FX.” His other credits in the genre include Amy’s House of Art (2021) and Dorset (2018.)
For the past twelve years he has worked on multiple tv and movie productions worldwide. He can humbly boast of his festival awards ranging in categories from special FX to cinematography and directing.
Huber plans to not use any A.I., very little VFX, and LOTS of practical gore and creature effects. This is only one of the ways Four Vacancies is going to be a very different horror movie. Keep up to date with Huber and the film’s progress on his Instagram account!
