The 2025 College Football Playoff commences on Friday night in Norman, Oklahoma.
No. 8 Oklahoma (10-2) hosts No. 9 Alabama (10-3) in the first round of the College Football Playoff at 8 p.m. ET in what’s just the ninth all-time meeting between the two programs.
The SEC schools faced off in the regular season in Tuscaloosa, with Oklahoma getting a 23-21 win. On that note, the Sooners have beaten the Crimson Tide in each of the last two years and in five of their last six matchups. Granted, Alabama beat Oklahoma in the semifinal round of the 2018 College Football Playoff. What happens this time around?
