“UFC 321 is in the books! What an incredible week in Abu Dhabi. Met new friends, spent some time with old ones, and got to call my second PPV. Doesn’t get much better. What was your most unforgettable moment of the night?”

When Laura Sanko recalled her first interaction with Jon Anik
Laura Sanko and Jon Anik worked behind the commentary desk at UFC Mexico earlier this year. This marked the second time the two worked together, and Anik had nothing but praise for Sanko.
In an Instagram post, Anik lauded Sanko’s skills on the mic and her ability to break down fights as they happened:
“MEXICO CITY — No one better to talk me through a Peruvian necktie than this talent right here! Was great to share the booth with @laura_sanko for just the second time. Your desire to be great is as obvious as your preparation. Thanks for making me better.”
Taking to the comments section of the post, Sanko thanked Anik for his kind words and fondly recalled their first interaction
“Not to be too sappy, but I still have the voicemail you left me in 2015 ahead of my very first commentary gig. I contacted you through a mutual connection, and the kind words of encouragement you said and the advice you gave to someone you had never met, meant a great deal. So to be sitting next to you almost exactly 10 years later is beyond cool. Thank you for always putting me over… can’t wait for the next!!”
