A better van-tage point.
Wild video showed a shirtless and shackled inmate hanging out the back of a corrections van as it sped down an Oklahoma freeway — while the man begged for help from drivers.
Cell phone footage recorded on Sept. 2 showed the unidentified inmate with his full torso sticking out of a busted-out window on the rear of the prison transport vehicle as it careens down Interstate 40 in Oklahoma City, NBC News reported.
The unruly passenger is seen alternately begging drivers for help and attempting to open the back door he is precariously hanging out of, video posted to TikTok shows.
“We thought it was a joke at first,” witness and videographer Tiggin Martin told KFOR.
“Don’t you f—kin’ do it, bro,” either Martin or her sister Alexis could be heard saying on the video obtained by NBC.
The witnesses said that the entire scary incident lasted two minutes.

The Sooner State’s Corrections Department said the van was in the middle of a “routine transport” when the prisoner broke the window and opted for some unauthorized fresh air, according to the report.
“Our officers immediately recognized the situation, exited the highway and called for additional law enforcement support,” a statement from ODC to KFOR said. “The inmate was safely secured and transported without further incident.”
