Here’s a closer look at where coaches, coordinators and front office executives are headed around the league.
Hirings
- Hired former franchise quarterback Matt Ryan as the team’s president of football.
- Hired former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski for the same role after firing Raheem Morris.
- Hired former Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees for the same role.
- Hired Dolphins special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman for the same role.
- Hired Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham as General Manager
- Hiring Eagles passing game coordinator Christian Parker as their next defensive coordinator.
- Hired Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to be their next head coach.
- Hired Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle as their new offensive coordinator.
- Promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach.
- Hired Broncos senior offensive assistant Pete Carmichael Jr. as offensive coordinator.
- Hired Broncos assistant head coach and defensive pass game coordinator Jim Leonhard as defensive coordinator.
- Hired Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken to be their head coach.
- Hiring former Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing for the same role.
- Hiring former Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon to become their next defensive coordinator.
- Hired Bears running backs coach Eric Bieniemy to be their offensive coordinator. (Bieniemy was previously the team’s offensive coordinator from 2018 through 2022.)

- Hiring former Western Michigan defensive coordinator Chris O’Leary for the same role.
- Hired Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan as their new general manager.

Philadelphia Eagles (OC)
- Hired Packers QB coach Sean Mannion as their offensive coordinator
- Hiring Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson for the same role.
- Hired 49ers defensive coordinator and former Jets head coach Robert Saleh to be their next head coach.
- Hiring ex-Giants head coach Brian Daboll as their next offensive coordinator.
- Promoting assistant quarterbacks coach David Blough to offensive coordinator.
- Hired Vikings defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator Daronte Jones as their new defensive coordinator.
Firings/Departures
- Fired head coach Jonathan Gannon following a 3-14 season.
- Fired both head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot shortly after the end of the 2025 regular season. Morris was fired after two years, while Fontenot’s tenure ended after five seasons.
- Head coach John Harbaugh and the Ravens agreed to part ways after 18 seasons.
- Fired head coach Sean McDermott after nine seasons following the Bills’ divisional-round loss.
- Fired defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus after one season in the wake of a 7-9-1 season.
- Fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi after three seasons.
- Fired offensive coordinator John Morton after one season.
- Fired head coach Pete Carroll after one season, dismissing him following a 3-14 year.
- Fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly on Nov. 23 following a 2-9 start to the season.
- Fired special teams coordinator Tom McMahon on Nov. 7.
- Fired offensive coordinator Greg Roman just two days following their wild-card loss.
- Fired special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn on Dec. 20 following their Week 16 loss.
- Dolphins general manager Chris Grier stepped down from his role on Oct. 31 amid his 10th season with the team. Miami went 77-80 over Grier’s tenure.
- Fired head coach Mike McDaniel after missing the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, ending his four-year stint.
- The Vikings fired general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah after four seasons.
- Fired head coach Brian Daboll on Nov. 10 following a 2-8 start to the season.
- Fired defensive coordinator Shane Bowen on Nov. 24, a move made by interim head coach Mike Kafka
- Fired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks on Dec. 15 following their 3-11 start.
- Offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand and the Jets parted ways after one year.
- Fired offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo following the 2025 season.
- Mike Tomlin stepped down as the Steelers’ head coach after 19 seasons following their first-round playoff loss.
- Offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is expected to become the next offensive coordinator at Ohio State.
- Fired offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard after one season in the position.
- Fired head coach Brian Callahan on Oct. 13 following a 1-5 start.
- The Commanders mutually parted ways with offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury after two seasons.
- Fired defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. after two seasons on the job.
Staying put
Arizona Cardinals (GM)
- General manager Monti Ossenfort will remain in his role following the firing of head coach Jonathan Gannon.
Atlanta Falcons (DC)
- Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will be retained on new Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski’s staff.
Buffalo Bills (GM)
- General manager Brandon Beane will remain with the Bills following head coach Sean McDermott’s firing. He has also been promoted to president of football operations.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (HC)
- Head coach Todd Bowles revealed that he’s staying in his position.
Cincinnati Bengals (HC, director of player personnel)
- The Bengals will keep head coach Zac Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin.
- The Browns will keep Andrew Berry on as general manager after firing head coach Kevin Stefanski.
- The Packers extended both head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst.
- The Colts aren’t making any changes at head coach or general manager this offseason, retaining head coach Shane Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard despite losing its last seven games of the season.
Las Vegas Raiders (GM)
- General manager John Spytek will remain with the Raiders and lead their football operations as they search for their next head coach following Pete Carroll’s firing.
- General manager Joe Schoen will remain in his role entering the 2026 offseason, ESPN reported.
New York Jets (HC)
- The Jets are keeping head coach Aaron Glenn for the 2026 season, per FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer.
