The royals are rolling out the red carpet.
President Trump is set to be welcomed to the UK with bells and whistles during his historic second state visit next week, complete with a lavish banquet and carriage procession, The Post can confirm.
The commander in chief, who will be hosted by the royal family from Sept. 16 to 18, will be whisked away to Windsor Castle as Buckingham Palace is undergoing an extensive renovation that’s due to end in 2027.
The President and First Lady Melania Trump will be greeted by America’s ambassador to Britain before being taken to Windsor Castle to meet Prince William and Princess Catherine, who will escort the couple to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla.
An extravagant carriage procession and royal salute will then take place, marking a significant difference in Trump’s state visit this time around compared to his first visit in June 2019.
What’s more, the Princess of Wales, 43, will play a more significant role during Trump’s upcoming visit. She is expected to undertake a joint engagement with the First Lady.
“The President and First Lady will arrive in the grounds of Windsor Castle on the morning of Wednesday 17th September,” Buckingham Palace told The Post in a statement.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales will greet The President and First Lady and accompany them to meet Their Majesties.”

The statement continued, “Their Majesties The King and Queen will formally welcome The President and First Lady outside, as a Royal Salute is fired from the East Lawn of Windsor Castle and at the Tower of London.
“Thereafter, The President and First Lady will join The King and Queen, and The Prince and Princess of Wales, in a Carriage Procession through the Windsor estate, towards the Castle,” the statement concluded.
Following the procession, Trump will have lunch in the State Dining Room with Charles and Camilla.
Trump will also pay his respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II during his fleeting UK visit.
“In the afternoon, The President and Mrs. Trump will visit St George’s Chapel, Windsor, to privately lay a wreath on the Tomb of Queen Elizabeth II,” the palace press release said.
“Afterwards, The President and First Lady will be given a short tour of the chapel and will hear a musical performance from the chapel choir.”
A lavish banquet will then take place on Wednesday evening, which is expected to be attended by more than 150 people, including royals, politicians and high-profile public figures that boast links to both the UK and US.
Trump, for his part, extended a prestigious invitation to former British ambassador to the US Dame Karen Pierce to attend the dinner.
Then on Thursday, the Trumps will meet with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, though it just so happens that the UK parliament is in recess during the president’s visit, meaning he will not make an official address.
